Baltimore Police are investigating the death of a 58-year-old man from the northern area of the city. 

Police were called to the 3200 block of Ellerslie Avenue just before 3:00 in the morning after hearing about a reported shooting. 

When they got to the scene they found Keith Hamlet with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. 

Homicide detectives are now investigating this murder.
