56-year-old dies in Northeast Baltimore shooting

Baltimore detectives are investigating a second homicide that occurred on Tuesday.

Officers were called to the 6100 block of Frankford Avenue around 9:20 p.m. after reports of a shooting. When they got to the scene they found a 56-year-old John Townes Jr with multiple gunshot wounds. 

Townes was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

Police say Townes lives on the same block he was shot at, but have not released any additional information about the shooting.
