Police are investigating a Wednesday night shooting in downtown Baltimore.
Officers where nearby when they heard gunshots in the area of Gay and Baltimore Streets. They responded the area immediately.
On the scene, they found a 49-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower right leg. He was taken to an area hospital and is in stable condition.
Investigators believe there was a fight in the area which lead to shots being fired. It is unclear at the moment as to whether or not the victim was the intended target.
