Baltimore police responded to the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at 2:45 p.m. Friday for reports of a shooting.
Officers arrived and found Damien Simms, 37, suffering from gunshot wounds to his body.
It is believed that Simms was shot in the 600 block of Laurens Street and ran to the Metro Station in the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, police said.
Simms was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Homicide detectives are investigating this incident.
