27-year-old shot and killed midday Friday in East Baltimore

BALTIMORE — A 26-year-old man was shot and killed in the Oliver neighborhood of East Baltimore midday Friday, Baltimore Police said.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Bond Street at 11:01 a.m. for a reported shooting. There they found an unresponsive 26-year-old man, later identified as Antonio Wright, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment where he was later pronounced dead.

Police believe the shooting happened in the 1600 block of East Biddle Street.
