21-year-old woman becomes first gunshot victim of July

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a shooting involving a woman in East Baltimore.

At 2:45 a.m., officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 2500 block of East Madison Street. On the scene, officers found a 21-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.

Police said she was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
