Homicide detectives are searching for the driver and passenger of a minivan who made a "u-turn" and began firing at two people early Thursday evening in West Baltimore.

Baltimore Police were called to the area of West North Avenue and North Pulaski Street for reports of a shooting shortly before 5:30 p.m.

Officers located a 36-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman who were both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to Shock Trauma. The male was pronounced dead at Shock Trauma. The woman is in stable condition and expected to survive, police said.

Investigators believe a silver minivan driving westbound in the 2100 block of West North Avenue made a "u-turn" and began traveling eastbound.  A passenger of the minivan got out of the vehicle and opened fire on the victims.  The suspect then got back in the van and drove off, detectives said.

Due to the severity of the victim's injuries, homicide detectives are investigating.

Anyone with additional information regarding this incident should call detectives at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
