Police are investigating two shootings in South Baltimore Monday evening.
A man was shot in the 1800 block of Wilkens Avenue just before 4:30 p.m.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment. There is no word on his condition.
A second shooting happened around 7:40 p.m. in the 200 block of South Payton Street.
Officers were attending to a stick case when they heard gunshots and saw the shooter fleeing the scene. Police found the victim who had been shot in the leg and tried to catch the shooter.
Medics transported the sick person and the gunshot victim to the hospital.
Officers were unable to catch the shooter.
