The Central District Action Team officers were conducting an investigation in the 2400 block of Lakeview Avenue when their findings led them to arrest 18-year-old Robbie Dezurn.
Officials say they seized a loaded gun from the man.
Dezurn has been arrested and charged with handgun violations.
