Baltimore police charged a 17-year-old  with assault and robbery of a woman Tuesday.

Police said Zyshawn Bryan,17, of Ashland Avenue was quickly apprehended after police located the gun and ski mask used during the incident.

On April 25, officers responded to the 2200 block in Bank Street for a reported robbery.

When officers arrived on scene the victim told police that three suspects displayed a gun, put her into a choke hold and stole her purse.

According to police, the unidentified woman chased the suspects and recovered her purse after one of them dropped it.

In the initial investigation, police discovered the gun used in the robbery was reported stolen from Baltimore County in 2015.

Bryan is charged with 1st degree assault and armed robbery. He is currently being held without bail at Central Booking.
