BALTIMORE — A man was shot and killed and two more were injured in three separate shootings overnight in Baltimore.

Northeast District officers responded to a shooting in the 5900 block of Radecke Avenue, in the city’s Cedonia neighborhood, at about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday. There they found an unidentified man suffering from gunshot wounds to his body. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital at Bayview where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

On July 17, police identified the man as 21-year-old Juwan Vellines.

Earlier Wednesday, Northern District officers responded to an area hospital where a shooting victim had reportedly arrived around 9:30 p.m. There, police encountered a 25-year-old man suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the calf.

Investigators learned the man was leaving the liquor store in the 5900 block of York Road, when he was approached by five men who announced a robbery. When the victim tried to run, he was shot.

Shortly after midnight Thursday, officers in the Eastern District responded to a reported shooting in the 800 block of E. Eager Street at about 12:15 a.m. There police found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his left hand. He was taken to an area hospital in good condition.

Detectives learned the man is a sedan driver who was robbed by his customer. After shooting the man, the robber drove off in the man’s car.
