Caught on camera---a man literally running for his life with an assailant closing in on him armed with a knife.

"His attacker was chasing him and it looks like they go right out of frame before he starts being stabbed during the attack," said Lt. Ryan Frashure of the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

The attack happened in an alley at Ritchie Highway and Belle Grove Road on January 7th, and 44-year-old Arnold Lee Bowman suffered multiple stab wounds to his face, neck and upper body.

He died on March 25th from those injuries and now Anne Arundel County police are offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.

"The victim frequented that area so we feel that somebody knows something,” Frashure said. “So that's why we're offering this reward money.  We're hoping that somebody comes forward with some type of information that can help our detectives put the pieces of the puzzle together to make an arrest and to find out who attacked Mr. Bowman."

The alley, which serves as a direct route between convenience and liquor stores, has a history of violence.

"You just never know what you're going to see out here.  It's always something different," said a woman, who did not want to reveal her name, whose property backs up to the alley.

She is one of many residents who have mounted security cameras behind their homes that captured the images of the killer chasing down his victim, but it's not unlike other incidents here that she's witnessed with her own eyes.

"He was running down the alley and behind him ran an older male who had a gun in his hand and they were just pumping down the alley," recalled the woman as she described a similar incident.

If you have any information that could help police or that could qualify for the reward money, you're asked to call the Anne Arundel County Homicide Unit at 410-222-4731.
