Annapolis Police say a man is going around showing women his genitals in public.
It’s happened twice in the last month.
Investigators say it only lasted a few seconds. In August, there was a brief conversation between a female employee at a Dunkin’ Donuts and a man police say is now wanted for indecent exposure.
“You recognize the people that are there every day – the regulars that are in the area,” Corporal Amy Miguez, with Annapolis Police Department, said.
It happened again early Monday morning at a 7/11 service station.
“…went into a business, again, adult female employee was working. He went up to her exposed his genitals and then left the business,” Miguez said.
In both cases, the women were caught off guard.
“The guy does approach and make a statement – just kind of a crude comment and then exposes himself and then leaves. Thankfully, nothing more has happened than that, but we definitely are concerned that he’s approaching women on their own during that time of day,” Miguez said.
Early morning hours – a time of day that’s off-putting both for the women who had to see and investigators.
“The women are taken aback. In fact in the second situation that was reported yesterday, it took them a few hours to call us. It’s not a normal, everyday experience and they’re not sure how to react at first,” Miguez said.
Police want to make sure this doesn’t happen again or anything worse.
