Man arrested for armed robbery at Dunkin' Donuts in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Anne Arundel County Police arrested a man following an armed robbery at a restaurant in Annapolis.

Police say on Wednesday evening around 5 p.m., officers were called to the reported armed robbery at a Dunkin' Donuts restaurant located at 2568 Riva Road in Annapolis.

An investigation into the incident revealed that a man entered the establishment, implied that he had a weapon, and demanded cash. Officials say the clerk complied and the armed robber left the restaurant on Riva Road towards Route 665.

When officers arrived at the restaurant, they were able to find and arrest 40-year-old Wayne Micheal Pelle.

Pelle has been charged with robbery, armed robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and theft.

Police say there were no reported injuries as a result of the robbery.
