Knife-wielding man arrested for robbing Dollar stores

A man was arrested after he used a knife to rob the Family Dollar Store in Brooklyn Park, Anne Arundel County Police said.

Officers responded to the store at 5009 Ritchie Highway for a reported robbery. Police said a man entered the store, showed he had a knife, and took several items from behind the counter. He then fled on foot. 

Another robbery, this time at the Dollar General Store at 5107 Ritchie Highway, was then reported. Again, a man entered with a knife, stole merchandise, then fled. 

Officers searched the area and soon found the suspect, who turned out to be a 17-year-old juvenile. He was taken into custody and charged as an adult.

Jason Daniel Guzman, of Brooklyn, Md., was charged with robbery, armed robbery, and two counts each of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, theft of less than $100, and reckless endangerment.
