Guns, drugs found in Brooklyn Park traffic stop

Eastern and Northern Tactical Narcotics Units were working to suppress crime in the Brooklyn Park area Thursday.

Around 11:40 a.m. detectives spotted the suspects in the vehicle and noticed the driver smoking marijuana.

The driver of the vehicle Joshua Hurt-Proctor and the passenger Bishop Richards were stopped and searched.

During the search officers found a pistol magazine with 7 rounds of .40 caliber ammunition.

After a further search of the vehicle officers found a .22 caliber revolver, .40 caliber pistol, crack cocaine, and numerous items of paraphernalia.

Both suspects were placed under arrest.
