Fatal shooting in Severn Maryland

An adult male is fatally shot, Friday night, in the 8100 block of Mead Village in Anne Arundel County.

As an uniformed officer was working the area of Mead Village near Reece Road, she heard shots fired.

Once the officer was on the scene a passerby told her someone had been shot.

Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, where he was later pronounced dead.   

The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Patrick Maurice Dixon from the 500 block of Dogwood Road in Glen Burnie, Maryland,

With the help of the Evidence Collection Unit, homicide detectives searched the area, where several witness observed the murder.

Police are saying the investigation revealed that 29-year-old Daquan Pack had a problem in the parking lot and shot the victim.

Pack, of 7000 block of O’Daniel Court, Glen Burnie Maryland, has been charged with First Degree Murder, Second Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, Handgun on a Person and Reckless Endangerment. 

Police are saying this was a targeted event and not a random act of violence.

Anyone with information as to the location of Daquan Pack is urged to call 911 as he is considered armed and dangerous. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner located in Baltimore Maryland will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause and manner of Mr. Dixon's death on Saturday, April 2, 2016.
