A person was stabbed when a road rage incident in Edgewater turned intimately violent, Anne Arundel County Police said.

The incident occurred before 10:45 a.m. Thursday on Route 214 at Muddy Creek Road, police said. Responding officers found the victim suffering from stab wounds that were deemed non-life threatening when treated at a local hospital later.

The victim and the female driver of another vehicle both stopped driving and began arguing on the side of the road. A 16-year-old boy got out of the female driver's vehicle, walked over, and stabbed the victim in the hip. He then fled the scene.

The vehicle the teen and female driver were in was a dark green Jeep Compass or Patriot. The teen was described as a white male, about 16 years old, with curly hair. The driver was described as a middle-aged white woman with curly brown hair.
