Police arrested an Anne Arundel County bible study teacher on charges of child sexual abuse.
Erick Ernesto Granados-Zeledon, 39, was charged on multiple sex offense and child abuse charges following his arrest Thursday at his Edgewater home. Granados-Zeledon was a chaperone and volunteer bible instructor at the Iglesia Hispanic Emmanuel Church in Annapolis.
In May, detectives launched an investigation into alleged child sexual abuse. They interviewed a juvenile victim, which led them to the church and Granados-Zeledon.
Police said the church is cooperating with law enforcement during the investigation. The suspect is no longer a volunteer and had no connection to their private school or daycare.
