Anne Arundel Co. Police arrest man with triple shooting victim for having drugs at hospital

BROOKLYN, Md. (WMAR) — Anne Arundel County Police are investigating a triple shooting that happened late Saturday evening in Brooklyn Park.

It happened just before midnight in the area of 1st Street and Townsend Avenue.

Arriving officers saw two vehicles leaving the scene headed onto Ritchie Highway with the windows shot out.

Police later found one of the vehicles at an area hospital and learned that one of the occupants had been shot.

The other occupant of the car, 24-year-old Willie Edward Willis was found to have what police believe to be crack cocaine on him and was arrested.

Not long after, Baltimore City Police notified Anne Arundel County officers that they were at the scene of a crash on Hanover Street involving two more shooting victims.

All of the victims injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and have released no information on what led to the shooting or any suspects involved.
