An Annapolis teen faces charges Wednesday after being found in possession of a loaded gun at school.
According to Anne Arundel County Police, around 2:20 p.m. the School Resource Officer at Annapolis High School, located on Riva Road, was notified by a school administrator of a possible weapons offense. The administrator said they saw the tenth-grade student getting on a bus at dismissal and thought he may have a gun.
The School Resource Officer located the 15-year-old student, removed him from the bus, and found a loaded .22 caliber handgun from the back seat of the bus where the student was sitting. The student was placed under arrest without incident.
The student was taken to Southern District where he was charged as a juvenile with possession of a handgun.
