Police have made several arrested in a 2016 assault that happened in a bathroom at Annapolis High School.

A 15-year-old was lured into a bathroom by two other students and was told to join the MS-13 Gang, according to police. The alleged attackers handed a phone to the victim and a man on the phone told him the two other boys would beat him up if he didn't join the gang.

The victim refused and police say the boys assaulted him.

"He was punched several times in the face and the chest," said Anne Arundel County police spokesperson Ryan Frashure. "He did not sustain any injuries luckily, but, it was certainly enough to where he was scared and afraid to approach the police."

Nineteen-year-old Juan Carlos Sandoval-Rodrigues was on the phone giving orders to the two boys that assaulted the victim. He was arrested. Sandoval-Rodrigues is not a student at Annapolis High School, but police say he is a verified member of the MS-13 Gang.

Police and school officials said this was an isolated event.
