A 16-year-old boy was arrested after shooting his mother's boyfriend with a BB gun and then stabbing him to death.

Officers say Taahir Butler, 16, and Herman Jackson, 53, both live in the 7000 block of Woodstream Terrace with Butler's mother. Around 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, police came to their house and found Jackson suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Jackson was taken to the hospital where he died shortly after arriving.

Investigators say the two were fighting which resulted in Butler shooting Jackson with the BB gun and stabbing him.

Butler confessed to stabbing Jackson and is now being charged as an adult for first and second-degree murder. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
