US Naval Academy civilian tests positive for COVID-19

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The US Naval Academy has reported that on March 19, a U.S. Navy civilian employee at the Naval Academy tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The member is currently isolated in their residence and is receiving supportive and medical care in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

According to the Naval Academy, state public health professionals are conducting a thorough investigation to determine whether any other personnel may have been exposed.

Depending on the results of that investigation, additional precautionary measures may be taken.
