JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. — A Turkish military transport aircraft filled with medical supplies landed at Joint Base Andrews on Tuesday.

This comes in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The Turkish government sent supplies including medical gloves, medical masks, protective goggles, protective clothes and hand sanitizer to support the U.S in their battle against the coronavirus.

The Turkish Ambassador to the U.S., the Turkish Defense Attaché to the U.S., and other Turkish Embassy staff members greeted the arriving Turkish crew when the plane arrived as well as a State Department delegation.
