PARKVILLE, Md. — Oak Crest senior living community in Parkville says they have learned a resident has tested positive for COVID-19.

At this time, they have no other reported cases among residents or employees but are closely monitoring those who live and work in the community.

They say the impacted resident is receiving appropriate care and treatment. Those who live and work on campus have been informed of this situation.

In response to this case, they have notified and instructed anyone who has been in close contact with the resident to remain in their respective homes for a 14-day period, to self-monitor for symptoms, and to call their primary care physician or our on-site medical providers if they develop symptoms.

Oak Crest says they continue to take necessary precautions and follow protocols for the effective management of COVID-19 and have implemented additional services to encourage social distancing.
