New COVID-19 testing site to open Friday at Pimlico Racecourse

BALTIMORE — Baltimore City has 638 COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths.

Mayor Jack Young announced that testing at the Pimlico Racecourse is set to start on Friday.

The drive-thru testing site will operate Sunday through Friday and in order to get tested you must have a referral from the doctor.

The racetrack is in the heart of the 21215-zip code, which officials said has the highest number of COVID-19 cases.

While it's tempting to celebrate the holidays with families. Mayor Young reminds us to do so with people in our household.

"You can save your life and other lives by staying home for these holidays. I applaud and thank the mosques, throughout Baltimore for finding ways to praise and worship together while social distancing."

Baltimore City's Health Commissioner also announced a new dashboard that shows a breakdown by zip code as well as gender and age for Baltimore City patients.
