Harford County Deputy tests positive for COVID-19

HARFORD COUNTY, Md. — A Harford County Deputy has tested positive for COVID-19, officials announced on Friday.

The deputy was last at work on Thursday, March 26, and was non-symptomatic while in the workplace.

In keeping with medical privacy laws, no additional information will be released on the deputy’s identity.

The Harford County Sheriff's Department is currently following all CDC and Health Department guidelines for tracking the path and degree of potential exposure for the individual who tested positive. This tracking includes determining which staff and personnel were considered potentially exposed and informing them of the occurrence.

The deputy is feeling better and is expected to make a full recovery.
