OCEAN CITY, Md. — Five bars in Ocean City are closed until further notice after employees test positive for COVID-19. Fish Tales Bar and Grill, BLU Crabhouse & Raw Bar and Purple Moose announced the closures on their Facebook pages.

Fish Tales said three staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and the restaurant was shut down immediately. The owners are meeting with health officials to make sure all staff members are tested before they can return to work.

Purple Moose closed earlier this week when two staff members tested positive for COVID-19. All employees are being tested and the owners hired a cleaning company to disinfect everything.

They will be closed until further notice and will only open after a thorough inspection and employees are clear to work.

On Saturday, BLU Crabhouse & Raw Bar posted on Facebook that they will be closed until further notice.

A member of their staff tested positive for COVID-19 and other staff members are awaiting results.

BLU says once their staff is tested, quarantines are complete, and their facilities undergo deep sanitation, they will reopen.

Also, on Saturday evening, The Salty Dog saloon and Dry Dock 28 said they would close at 7 p.m. on Saturday and remain closed until Wednesday at 11 a.m.

They said this is to insure the safety of patrons, and staff.

To our loyal customers, friends family and staff.....The Salty Dog saloon and Dry Dock 28 will be closing this evening...
