ABERDEEN, Md. — Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen will host a one time COVID-19 drive-thru testing event on Tuesday, August 4.

Anyone 12-years and older can get tested without a doctors order, by scheduling an appointment here.

Governor Larry Hogan's office says up to 1,000 people are expected to attend the one day clinic.

The IronBirds are holding the event in partnership with Harford County, the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health and the Aberdeen Police Department.

"We are excited to be a part of something that will make it easy for members of our community to get COVID-19 tests,” said Bill Ripken. “Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium is an ideal venue for a testing event, and we are honored to host."

On Thursday, Hogan's office announced drive-thru testing would also begin at the Ocean City Convention Center this weekend.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling 410-632-1100 and pressing 8. Future testing dates at the location will be released soon.

Testing is also available nearby at the West Ocean City Park and Ride and the Worcester County Health Department building in Pocomoke.

All tests are free.
