CALVERT COUNTY, Md. — A Calvert County Sheriff's Deputy is hospitalized and in critical condition after testing positive for COVID-19.

On Tuesday, fellow officers from the deputy’s squad held a ‘rolling roll call’ outside their patrol vehicles at CalvertHealth Medical Center to show support for the ill deputy and healthcare staff working during the pandemic.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department on Thursday sent out a tweet in support of the deputy and the Sheriff's Office saying, "We are standing with you! Praying your Deputy beats this invisible monster."

Officials with Anne Arundel County say one of their officers also tested positive for the virus and is receiving treatment.

Last week Baltimore County confirmed two of their officers tested positive and that 32 were self quarantining.

One Baltimore City officer has also tested positive.
