MT. AIRY, Md. — Maryland State Police are investigating a deadly crash in Mt. Airy.
The department said it was 3:06 p.m., when Troopers responded to the incident. When they arrived to the area of I-70 and Exit 68 they found a tow truck towing an overturned car trailer on the side of Eastbound I-70
Troopers identified the operator as 74-year-old James Larry Krantz of Ocean City. Medical officials pronounced Krantz dead on the scene.
Maryland State Police-Westminster Barrack Troopers are leading the investigation and is asking witnesses to call TFC Jonathan Horner at 410.386.3000.
