A lab chemical spill at McDaniel College was considered minor, school officials said.
School officials say the chemical spill that happened in Eaton Hall was minor and "not life threatening." The spill was being cleaned up late Thursday morning.
Eaton and Lewis Hall will remain closed until Monday morning, a school spokesperson said in an email.
The college, located in Westminster, MD, issued a campus alert Thursday morning notifying students and staff of a possible spill. School officials confirmed the spill later in the morning.
Police, fire and hazmat officials investigated.
Eaton & Lewis Halls are temporarily closed to all faculty, staff, and students until further notice. More information to follow.
