Two construction workers were taken to Shock Trauma following an early morning crash on I-695 in Parkville Friday.
The crash occurred around 3 a.m. on the innerloop at Harford Road.
Maryland State Police said the driver of an SUV drove into the construction zone and hit the back of a parked, unoccupied pickup truck. That truck was pushed forward into the two construction workers who were on foot.
One construction worker was flown to Shock Trauma, the other was taken there by ambulance. The driver of the SUV was was taken to University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center for treatment.
The workers' injuries are serious, but said to be non-life threatening.

Alcohol and drug impairment do not appear to be factors in this crash, according to Maryland State Police.
The beltway was shut down for almost two hours, but the crash has since been cleared.
