One person is dead and another injured after a case of suspected arson in northeast Baltimore.
Around 3:30 a.m., Baltimore City firefighters were dispatched to the 5200 block of Frankford Avenue.

When they arrived, crews saw flames on the second and third floors of a three-story brick apartment building with people hanging from the windows of the upper floors trying to get out of the burning building. Firefighters made six rescues.
Firefighters later found the body of a woman inside the building.
One other person was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
Seven families were displaced by the fire.
Baltimore Police were called to the scene to as part of a homicide investigation. The case is being investigated as arson.
It is unclear at this time whether the woman died before or after the fire was set.
