Recognition in the workplace goes a long way. A new survey from by Workhuman and Gallup indicates that formal recognition may carry more weight than managers realize.
Recognition at work leads to better performance, higher workplace satisfaction, and more employee retention. The study further showed that employees who were recognized for life milestones outside of work ,such as finishing a marathon or celebrating a birthday or new baby, were also happier at work.
