Western High - 175th Anniversary

Belinda Conaway, the Register of Wills for Baltimore City, and a proud alumna of Western Female High School in Baltimore, has issued a challenge to her fellow alumnae and local city leaders.

The school is celebrating its 175th anniversary, and Conaway is leading the charge to raise funds foe initiatives that will strengthen academics, extracurriculars, clubs, and more, as well as upgrade the school's exterior. The #dollarsfordoves campaign aims to raise $175.000.

Western High is the nations oldest all girls public high school with a rich history of its own. In addition to Conaway, notable alumnae indlue current and former 41st district state senators Jill P. Carter and Lisa Gladden, former Baltimore City Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, 45th district delegate Cheryl Glenn, at-large D.C. Councilwoman Elissa Silverman, along with a host of accomplished actresses such as Anna Deavere Smith, Tamara Dobson and Robin Quivers,
