Erin Levitas was a young woman with the world at her feet. Beautiful, funny, and caring, Erin accepted a spot at the University of Maryland Law School before being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer and passing away just before her 23rd birthday.

While she bravely battled the cancer, it was the nightmare of a sexual assault that kept her awake at night. While still a student at Wake Forest University, Erin was raped by a friend during a visit home.

The Erin Levitas Foundation, founded by Erin's mother and helmed by other family and loved ones, aims to educate and prevent sexual assault. Together with law and social work students from the University of Maryland, the foundation provides education to children in Baltimore City Public Schools.

The foundation hopes to spread their message to other area schools and even nationwide. You can get involved by registering for the upcoming Virtual Stroll and Roll on July 18.
