According to a recent survey, only 2 out of 5 Americans have less than $1000 saved for an emergency, and 47% have savings accounts at the same bank as their checking account. Money expert Stefanie O'Connell says this may not be making the most of your savings. Don't be afraid to shop around for the best interest rates for your savings account.
