If you’ve ever experienced discrimination or unfair treatment while shopping in a store or at the mall, you’re not alone. US beauty retailer Sephora, has just released a first of its kind national study that reveals how pervasive racially biased and unfair treatment really is across US retail. Sephora’s ongoing leadership in diversity and inclusion has been making headlines and now they’ve also announced an action plan to build the most inclusive beauty community where everyone feels welcome.
The plan includes stocking more products from Black owned businesses as well as products for a variety of skin tones, providing a welcoming and inclusive shopping experience, and becoming a more diverse and inclusive workplace.
