The Saturday Visiter was a weekly periodical published in in Baltimore. In 1833, Poe submitted his short story MS Found In A Bottle to the magazine and took home first prize.
Now, fans of Edgar Allan Poe are encouraged to submit their own original works inspired by the writer to the Saturday Visiter Awards sponsored by Poe Baltimore. The awards celebrate the legacy and works of Poe and winners will be announced at the International Edgar Allan Poe Festival in October 2019.
