Colon and rectal cancers are the third leading cause of cancer death in the United Stated. However, when found early through screenings, colon cancer is treatable and can be cured.
Colonoscopies are the best screening tool available, but other tests like at-home stool testing kits are also available. Anyone over 50, under 50 with a family history of colorectal cancers, or who is showing signs or symptoms of colon cancer such as stomach pain, bloody stool, or change in bathroom habits should be screened.
