Imani Wj Wright, a 20 year old artist from Baltimore, has been cultivating his musical skills and talents for the past 13 years. His growth as a musician includes his time on scholarship at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins, where he was honored with an “Outstanding Performance” award, and The Lyric Opera House of Baltimore.

Imani is also a journalist for The Baltimore Times , Afro-American, and the London based magazine Stereo Stickman . He's given a TED Talk on his intermingling of Music and writing at York College of Pennsylvania. Over the last year, Imani has performed in some of the most respected venues and concert series in the United States, including The Kennedy Center in D.C. Imani and his band have also been invited to perform in several of the highly acclaimed Sofar Sounds show series.

Along with those accomplishments, Imani has also had mentoring from artists such as Khalid and Bilal.
