Award-winning photographer Heather Allred knows the power of a good portrait. After learning about Project Beauty from a colleague, she bright it to Charm City. Project Beauty helps redefine how beauty is depicted on social media.
Most pictures we see are polished and edited, giving a norm in society of what teens and women should look like. With Project Beauty, the pictures are black and white, the models not in make up, hair natural, showcasing true and natural beauty.
Heather held an event recently in the area featuring local models to make her mark on this project. She also raised money for The No Boundaries Coalition, a resident-led initiative dedicated to bringing Central West Baltimore together across race, class and neighborhood lines.
