Whether your child is learning virtually or in person this year, it's likely causing some anxiety. Help calm their fears - and yours - with these tips from GBMC.
Set an example - don't let your anxieties or frustrations boil over. Speak with them about how you're feeling and how they're feeling.
Help them understand wearing PPE equipment. Let them pick out their own masks in fun colors or a theme they like.
Share as much information with your kids as possible. Many schools are communicating daily with parents - let your child know the updates.
If your child becomes easily frustrated, withdrawn, or has other behavioral changes, speak with your pediatrician about anxiety.
