Pet shelters around the country are experiencing an unprecedented number of adoptions, and more people than ever before are discovering the joys of having a pet.
With those joys comes some major responsibilities. Of course there's walks, feeding, vet care, and the like, but it's also important for you to have a plan for your pets if anything happens to you. Pets should be included in your estate plan or will like any other family member.
If possible, set aside a fund to go with your pet. Choose someone who will love them just as much as you do, without it being a financial burden.
