When Changa Bell was diagnosed with heart issues, he committed to a healthier way of life. He found solace in practicing yoga, but not necessarily the atmosphere of some yoga studios.
He founded Sunlight and Yoga, a studio dedicated to allowing men and boys of color to practice yoga and mindfulness in a safe, non judgmental environment. These simple tenants have morphed into the Black Male Yoga Initiative, which is bringing Changa's message to men all over the country.
The BMYI encourages men and boys of color to lead lives of peace and health through yoga and life coaching. You can get involved here.
