Social isolation and loneliness are detrimental to our physical and mental health, especially in the elder and disabled populations. Visits from animals can help people feel more connected and happier, but with extreme social distancing measures in place at many senior care centers, in-person visits are impossible.
Animal farm Foundation has launched the Pets Together program to bring virtual pet visits to group centers. Residents can visit with cats dogs, goats, chickens, and even snakes!
