Many Baltimore areas hospitals and medical facilities are taking donations of handmade masks to keep them safe during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Home sewers can also use these masks when doing essentials errands like grocery shopping. The masks are simple enough for beginning sewers and can be made with materials most crafters have on hand - two 7 in pieces of elastic, a 9x12 piece of fabrics, interfacing, pins, and a sewing machine.
