WMAR is proud to support the Maryland Food Bank, and we're in the home stretch of this fundraising campaign with a "Food Bank Fundraising Blitz".

From May 20th through May 27th, WMAR is pledging to match donations up to $10,000.

Financial donations to the Maryland Food Bank go further because of their relationship with wholesale retailers. You can make a large donation but even a $10 donation will buy 12 jars of spaghetti sauce, $9 for 20 boxes of noodles, and with your $8 donation the Maryland Food Bank can buy 24 cans of green beans.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic started more families have been turning to the Maryland Food Bank for help. The loss in jobs, either through layoffs or furlough, has impacted some famliies that have never needed help before.

And the Maryland Food Bank is helping every single person, not just by putting food on the table, but also giving many a chance to give back.

First-time volunteers help fill a void at the Maryland Food Bank

WMAR is proud to team up with the Maryland Food Bank for a virtual food drive. We know everyone has various concerns as we navigate this time in our communities, so we're giving several options for you to help. You can make a general donation or help with specific items.

We believe we are all #Stronger2Gether and are all grateful for your help and the tireless work of the Maryland Food Department.
